Symptoms

  • The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of a new continuous cough and/or high temperature. If you have these symptoms, however mild, stay at home and do not leave your house for 7 days if living alone or 14 days if living with others – from when your symptoms started.
  • If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 7 days, contact your health provider.

Controls

  • Wash your hands more often than usual, for 20 seconds using soap and hot water, particularly after coughing, sneezing and blowing your nose. Use hand sanitiser gel.
  • To reduce the spread of germs when you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, or your sleeve. Then wash your hands or use a hand sanitising gel
  • Clean and disinfect regularly touched objects and surfaces using your regular cleaning products to reduce the risk of passing the infection on to other people.

Social distancing

  • Maintain a 2 metre gap between yourself and other people onsite.
  • Avoid contact with someone who is displaying symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Access

Access to the site is off a busy N15 road so all deliveries and operatives coming from Donegal Town are required to drive past the entrance and to turn right at the Dearg Line Road so that they can drive back down to the site entrance which is now on their left hand side.

General Weather Conditions

The Operational Controller (OC) will provide an alert if high winds or lightning are forecasted. However, it is vital that this is dynamically assessed on site by the working party. During the winter months the site is susceptible to thick fog and heavy snow due to the sites high altitude. These can roll in quite quickly so extra care should be taken to prevent being stuck on site.
